Regina Lucero
Principal

I was raised in Isleta Pueblo and am a proud graduate of Los Lunas High School. My passion for education and student success has guided my career in both teaching and educational leadership.

I began my educational career in 2012 as a middle school mathematics teacher. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from Haskell Indian Nations University and later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Baker University. To pursue my passion for teaching, I completed my alternative licensure program through Central New Mexico Community College (CNM). I then earned a second master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Kansas.

Throughout my career, I have served as a high school mathematics teacher at Valencia High School, Los Lunas High School, and in Alaska as a middle school mathematics teacher. While in Alaska, I also served as the Anchorage School District Lead Teacher for English Language Learners (ELLs), supporting educators and students across the district.

In 2021, I transitioned into school administration within the Los Lunas School District. I am honored to be part of the Los Lunas Elementary School community and remain committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

I firmly believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for empowering future generations. By working together as educators, families, and community members, we can help every student reach their fullest potential and achieve success.

Adrianna Avent
Assistant Principal

I have been the Assistant Principal with LLE since November 2024. Previously, I taught science and health at Century High School. My journey in the educational system started at Los Lunas Middle School as a 7th grade science teacher. Beyond academics, I also was the head coach for the Los Lunas Middle School track and field team from 2019-2023 and was awarded Middle School Head Coach of the year for the 2019 and 2023 seasons. 

A proud, lifelong resident of Los Lunas and 2008 Los Lunas High School Graduate; I can typically be seen all over the Village, actively participating in many different community events, coaching rec basketball, and leading a Girl Scout Troop. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of New Mexico and a Masters Degree from the University of New Mexico - School of Anderson in Educational Leadership. I am proud to be a part of the LLE community.  My proudest achievement is my three wonderful children, my amazing husband, and my supportive family.
